We built Dispute Neutral because most business disputes are too important to ignore but too small to justify the cost and delay of court.

Why we exist

A business owed £8,000, £25,000 or £100,000 faces a hard choice. Court can take many months, cost thousands in legal fees and end in a public judgment. Writing the debt off hurts just as much.

Dispute Neutral offers a third route: both parties put their documents before an experienced, independent lawyer and get a binding written decision within 10 business days of the matter being ready, for one fixed fee.

Who decides

Every case is decided by an independent neutral: a lawyer with at least 15 years’ practical experience.

Before a case is accepted we check that the neutral has no connection to either party. The neutral acts as an expert, not as an arbitrator, and applies the contract, the relevant law and commercial common sense. They do not act for either side and do not give legal advice.

Our neutrals bring real-world experience from years in the legal profession, often well beyond the 15-year minimum. Some are in current practice; others have moved on from day-to-day practice. What they share is practical judgement, commercial common sense and no connection to either side. Dispute Neutral is not a regulated legal service, and the neutral does not act as a solicitor or barrister for either party.
